Cannova's is a small place — 38 seats, right on Galena's Historic Main Street — and we like it that way. Cozy, family-run, and the spot for Galena's best pizza since 1994. It's the kind of kitchen where the red sauce simmers all day and somebody always has flour on their shirt.
We don't cut corners. Our pizza dough gets a full 24-hour cold proof before it ever hits the oven, and we bake our own bread fresh every day with real olive oil. We use the freshest ingredients we can get locally, and for the meats and cheeses we bring in the best imported ones we can find. From-scratch red sauce, De Cecco pastas, lemon crème cake made in house — the real deal, every plate.

A Few Things That Help Us Take Care of You
- Carry Out & DeliveryThe whole menu is available to go, but some dishes travel better than others. Anything served hot — shrimp dishes especially — is at its best in the dining room, and time in a box changes it. Order online or call (815) 777-3735.
- To-Go Orders Are FinalOnce food leaves the building we can't take it back, so carry out and delivery sales are final. If we got your order wrong or left something out, call (815) 777-3735 within 30 minutes, hold on to the order, and email photos of the problem to cannovasorderinquiry@gmail.com. We don't remake or credit an order we haven't seen. Once we've looked, we'll remake it or credit you. We can't sort out a complaint days after the fact. Please call us before disputing a charge; we would rather fix it ourselves.
- AllergiesWe cook everything in one kitchen. Wheat, dairy, eggs, tree nuts, soy, fish and shellfish are all handled on shared surfaces and in shared equipment, so we cannot guarantee any dish is free of an allergen. Tell us before you order and we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot do. If a reaction would be severe, please order somewhere equipped for it.

- Big OrdersPlanning on 5 or more pizzas? Send us the details ahead of time with the large order form — a little notice lets us space things out so your order isn't stuck behind a rush, which means less waiting for you. Large orders are limited on Friday and Saturday, when the kitchen is committed to the dining room. Need one the same day? Call (815) 777-3735 and ask — we can sometimes fit one in, but we can't promise it.
- Made for YouLarge orders are cooked to order the same way everything else here is — made fresh for you, your family, and your guests.
- DeliveriesWe deliver throughout Galena and the Galena Territory. Every delivery carries a fee based on the driving distance from us to you — a few dollars in town, more out toward the Territory — figured from your address when you place the order. The fee is not the driver's tip — anything you add as a tip goes straight to them.
- Party SizeSix at one table. For a larger group, we'd be glad to put together a large carryout order.

How Reservations & the Waitlist Work
- ReservationsRecommended for every visit. Book online or call (815) 777-3735, for parties of up to 6. We hold your table 15 minutes past your reservation time. Walk-ins are always welcome — but tables go quickly on weekends, and a reservation is the one way to know we are expecting you.
- Time at Your TablePlan on about 45–60 minutes — a couple often less, a larger table a little more. On a tight schedule? Let us know when you arrive and we'll do our best to get you on your way.
- Party SizeSix at one table — only two of our tables seat that many. For a larger group we'd rather set you up with a big carryout order than seat you badly.
- The WaitlistNo reservation? Join the waitlist online or in person, and we'll text you when your table's ready. Please check in within 10 minutes — your whole party needs to be present to be seated.
- At the BarThe bar is first-come, walk-in seating — a good spot for parties of 1–3. It's also our waiting area and carry-out pickup, so it can fill up on busy nights.

The dining room closes at 9:00 pm, and 10:00 pm on Friday and Saturday. On quiet evenings and in poor weather we may stop seating earlier — if you're arriving late, please call ahead at (815) 777-3735 or check back here for the evening's schedule.
